At 1 PM today we celebrated Agape Vespers before our church picnic. Having witnessed the Resurrection this morning, Agape Vespers emphasizes the spreading of the good news of Christ and universal nature of the Orthodox Church. As such we read the Gospel reading (John 20:19-25) in many different languages. Some we heard today included Finnish, Swedish, Russian, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese.
