Father James Robinson grew up in Everett, Washington and is an alumnus of the University of Washington. He was commissioned as a Naval Officer in 1981 and spent 13 years in the Surface Warfare branch. While in the Navy he received a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the US Naval War College, and an MS in Management from Salve Regina University. In 1994 he joined the Everett Fire Department from which he retired as Assistant Chief in early 2017. He was ordained as a deacon at St. Andrew Antiochian Orthodox Church in Arlington, Washington in 2013, and was ordained as priest by Metropolitan JOSEPH and assigned as pastor of St. Innocent Antiochian Orthodox Church in February 2017. He and Khouria Helen have been married since 1983. They have four daughters, one son-in-law, and one granddaughter.
Deacon Adam Lindahl grew up in Montana and attended Montana State University, studying Chemical Engineering, graduating in 2012. He moved to and worked in Alaska where he met his wife, Deaconissa Michaela, before relocating to Washington state in 2014. In 2020 Dn. Adam received a Certificate in Theological Studies through the Antiochian House of Studies and currently teaches catechism at St. Innocent's. He was ordained to the deaconate in 2024 by the hand of His Grace Bp. Anthony. In the secular world, Dn. Adam is an engineer for the local petrochemical industry. He and his wife have been married 11 years and have a daughter.
Bishop Anthony, born Richard Anthony Michaels on January 17, 1956, was raised in Ironwood, Michigan in a pan-Orthodox parish, shaped by his Lebanese and Serbian heritage. A gifted student and athlete, he earned degrees from the University of Michigan and St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, where he graduated as valedictorian. His early ministry included teaching philosophy, directing youth programs, and giving retreats across North America as part of the Orthodox music group KERYGMA.
Ordained to the priesthood in 2004, Bishop Anthony served in Minnesota and Indiana, where he oversaw the construction of a new church and was elevated to Archimandrite. He was consecrated as Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo and the Midwest in 2011 and, in 2024, began serving as Bishop of Los Angeles and the West. A sought-after speaker and teacher, he continues to lecture widely on faith, culture, and pastoral care, and is the author of Between Utopia and Despair: A Study of the West and the Advance of the Secular World View.
His Eminence, the Most Reverend Saba Isper is the Archbishop of New York and Metropolitan of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East and the Holy Synod of Antioch elected His Eminence to lead the Archdiocese during its extraordinary session on Feb. 23, 2023, in Balamand, Lebanon.
Metropolitan Saba was born in Latakia, Syria in 1959. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Tishreen in Latakia, and a bachelor's degree in theology from the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology in Balamand. He served previously as the metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Bosra, Hauran and Jabal Al-Arab in Syria.
Prior to his election to the Archdiocese of North America, Metropolitan Saba served the Orthodox Christians of the middle east with special devotion, helping to establish multiple charitable organizations including hospitals, dormatories for students, and elderly care facilities. Met. Saba's work has helped to strengthen the Christian witness in the middle east in the face of an environment which is continuously hostile to Christianity.
His Beatitude John X was born in the city of Latakia, Syria, in the year 1955. He was raised in a home known for education, virtue and faith. His father, Manah Yazigi, a Syrian, was a teacher of Arabic and a poet. His mother, Rozah Moussi, is of Lebanese origin. His Beatitude has three siblings, one of whom is a Metropolitan and another a nun.
His Beatitude was ordained deacon in 1979 and then priest in 1983 in the Archdiocese of Latakia by His Eminence Metropolitan Youhanna Mansour. His Beatitude was elected by the Holy Antiochian Synod Bishop of Al Husun, Wadi Al-Nadarah in the Archdiocese of Akkar in the year 1995. He served in this position until 2008, when the Holy Synod elected him Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Europe.
His Beatitude is famed for the clarity of his views and his strict adherence to all that is true and just in human relations. He has excelled in bringing people together, through dialogue and conciliatory approaches to people of differing views. He is known for his compassion, friendliness, generosity, social concern and, last but not least, readiness both to listen and to offer help.
